[edit: RESOLVED!! : See comments ]
WTF?? I logged in to help a BlogHUD customer who was having problems find his HUD and other weirdness he was getting.
But when I logged in, I realised that my whole inventory also appears to be missing! Argh!
Sometimes I get slowness listing searches, but this time the inventory has the folders in place, but they are all EMPTY!!!
Last time I was logged in, I was in my ED-209 avatar - so, for now I am stuck!!! I REALLY need my inventory back, as it obviously contains the MASTER BlogHUD (and backups) among many other valuable projects.
This had better be a non-volatile hiccup. I need it back now!!
TWENTY SECONDS TO COMPLY!!!!!!! ggrrrrr!!!
There's thousands of REAL dollars worth of projects in there!!! at: Nooribeom (150, 197, 25)
Thor Eldrich posted at 02:30:14 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT Good luck, Koz! Moo implied she got some of her own stuff back, but not all of it. If you used a vendor or other object to give out BlogHUDs you should be able to grab that one and reset the permissions, yes?
For me Wednesday's update produced a client that no longer plays well my well-within-supported-hardware system so I can't even login to know if my own inventory is there or not. I find this week I understand the loud negative voices of SL a bit more and the seemingly mechanical and apathetic machine at LL a lot less.
Veyron Supercharge posted at 03:32:15 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT My condolences. Has Linden Labs responded to you at all? Do they have anything to say about this?
It's really unacceptable for this sort of thing to happen.
Koz Farina posted at 03:39:34 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT Nothing yet. But their feedback channels are moving according to the blog.
There are FAR more valuable things in there recently created which are not in vendors. I do hope they pull through - or I can see a real 'primstorm' coming here!
Vint posted at 03:47:28 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT I feel your pain. I would consider shedding irl tears and throwing irl stuff when that would happen to me. I just hope you'll get everything back (and in a good state).
An idea for LL to give premium membership more value: 'If you have premium membership, we'll _actually_ backup your inventories!'?
Koz Farina posted at 03:58:02 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT I'm going to stay cool for now and see what happens - but if the outcome is bad, the brown faecal objects are going to hit the rotating objects!!
Robin LInden posted at 04:00:59 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT Heya Koz,
Please send an email support@lindenlab.com. I can follow up in the AM to see if there was anything in particular that might have caused your problem.
Koz Farina posted at 04:16:36 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT Hi Robin. Thanks. I am doing that now. I was not doing anything to cause it. Just noticed it the next time I logged on - today. Last time was fine.
Robin posted at 04:27:31 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT Hi Koz,
Gridmonkey says it's all there!
Koz Farina posted at 04:32:43 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT Well, moments after getting an IM from Callum Linden and the reply to the support email, I am happy to report the return of my inventory!!
Apparently, there was a little tweak required, but I also TPed to an empty sim, and things returned!!
Phew!! Good job Callum!! Robin , please do use the Love Machine on my behalf! :))
Robin posted at 04:39:09 - Mon 30th of April, 2007 GMT Already did Koz! :D
