Something really cool happened while building the blogHUD

Since knocking together this little site and HUD system, it strikes me that something really cool is happening. I somehow feel more 'connected' with people. It's a great feeling and I wonder how many other HUDslingers feel the same.
As the posts go by on bloghud.com, and also on Tao Takashi's WorldofSL.com, from RL I can watch the news and stories of experiences or issues just keep on coming. I love it!
It's a 'River of Life' - teaming with RSS. I get to connect with people who share my passion for virtual worlds, coding, creativity and innovation. Priceless.
Also, there was this magical feeling when I got my head round learning how to connect to other blogging systems - something I had avoided doing for ages - and realising what could happen here. I know I'm not alone in doing this process too, btw. There are all these SL blogs out there , where the authors have to leave SL and go to post back in RL. Surely, that must be a pain. You might lose the moment of inspiration which triggered you to post in the first place.
So, I have to say it was incredibly cool to just get more support for external blogs working. Cool because there are people out there, already posting about SL, on their own blogs, hosted on their own servers, who can now say something in SL and have it suddenly appear on their RL blog. When you try it - and you see that first post, I think you'll see what i mean about that magical feeling! :)
Torley posted at 00:18:42 - Fri 22nd of September, 2006 GMT Koz, the very fact you are writing this here only furthers to practice what you preach--I don't mean that in a religious way, necessarily, but there's a techno-spirituality to it because of what you said yourself, "River of Life"—Second Life!
This is a bit of a crazy idea, but, I see this Police Blotter updating in realtime. I think of Digg's realtime views: http://labs.digg.com/
Do you have anything like this? Just an idea.
BTW looks like some of your sentences got cut off, like "There ar".
"HUDslingin'" reminds me of a Stephen King epic. This could be "THE HUDSLINGER".

Yes, I saw that text chopping iff. Very odd..Luckily I could edit here.
Hmmm... LSL hell ;)
Koz Farina posted at 00:46:11 - Fri 22nd of September, 2006 GMT Have you had your upgrade today? ;) Just released. btw: what do you use to post to torley.com? It would be great to see a Linden try this out :D
If the police blotter had the 'slGeo' tags in it (see my RSS feeds here) with the location info, then I could make the map move with the crimes and slimes!
Torley posted at 01:42:40 - Fri 22nd of September, 2006 GMT torley.com is powered by blog-city.com, I think there's some compatibility with the Blogger API but it isn't that good.
"crimes and slides" HAHAHA
Koz Farina posted at 04:29:00 - Fri 22nd of September, 2006 GMT heh. That looks easy enough. I found their docs. Lemme just think on best way to approach this, without cluttering the blog set up ui.
I have a form test we could try. If that works, then we're cookin'! IM me if you want to try it.
