**************************
The 'blogHUD' is a 'heads-up' device for Second Life which allows the owner to easily post an entry to bloghud.com in the form of a blog. Think of it like a shoutout for your thoughts and opinions when you visit an inspiring place (or AOVB - an 'Area of Outstanding Virtual Beauty') or find something cool to play with and do, or buy.
*******************
When you use the blogHUD, your post will appear at http://bloghud.com, with a map of the location where you posted from in Second Life.
*******************
The main website show the posts from all the other blogHUD users too.To just see your posts, you can go to http://my.bloghud.com/YourName (no spaces) You'll see lots of ways you can filter posts from a blogHUD on the website. You can see posts from people, places and 'people in places'. That's alot of p's!
**********************
If you use a Web Feed Aggregrator which supports RSS [Really SImple Syndication], you can use the RSS links on the website to stay up to date with all your favourite blogHUDers and Second Life locations automagically!
*************************
There is also now a PRO VERSION for an introductory proce of L$900 which will also post your blog entries to your Blogger, Typepad or Wordpress.com blogs.
Support for more systems is on the way.
And thanks for checking out the blogHUD!

iRoybot Dadaposted at 17:11:12 - Sun 1st of October, 2006 GMThow does the pro-version work on my own blog? doesn't it require some plugin-code?
and why don't you follow the open-source idea that these blogging-plattforms and most of the thousands of contributors celebrate? thanks.
Wangxiang Tuxingposted at 15:04:45 - Tue 31st of October, 2006 GMTWith the PRO VERSION, is it also possible to post my Blogger entries to my blogHUD ?
GLobalkids Bixbyposted at 14:25:07 - Wed 8th of November, 2006 GMTWe run the Global Kids projects in the teen grid. We want the teens to blog and this looks like a fantastic tool. However, we run Moveable Type. Will this work with our blog software and, if not, please contact us if we can help make that happen.

Atom Lahtohposted at 02:17:59 - Thu 16th of November, 2006 GMTIs BlogHUD Pro using XMLRPC? If so it would theoretically possible to connect to Drupal, Mephisto, and Typo too.
Mambo Miloszposted at 10:59:44 - Thu 30th of November, 2006 GMTI am not currently able to get my BlogHUD Pro to post successfully to my web site, which is a current WordPress installation, hosted at its own domain by GoDaddy - yet I notice that the front page suggests I should be able to. How do I do this, please?
Cypher Blackposted at 23:06:35 - Tue 19th of December, 2006 GMTmy bloghud is also not working with wordpress. after a troubleshooting session with Koz Farin he told me : OK. i'm sorry we cant get this working. but others with their own wordpress install are ok with blogHUD. Sorry I cant help more. . .
So MY wordpress will not work, this I know now ;-)
Otenth Paderbornposted at 00:41:26 - Wed 20th of December, 2006 GMTI can't post to my wordpress blog, either. In doing some research, I found this on wordpress: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/39638 It seems that some servers may be blocking xmlrpc.php. I copied and renamed the file in my wordpress installation (to remotepost.php), and it works just fine now with flickr. But sadly, bloghud automatically fills in xmlrpc.php as the endpoint and won't allow you to specify a different filename.
Otenth Paderbornposted at 03:19:21 - Wed 20th of December, 2006 GMTYep, just got confirmation from my host that they have xmlrpc blocked because of people that haven't upgraded. So unless the bloghud set for wordpress can be changed to take a different file name, it won't work for me.
Cypher Blackposted at 19:44:02 - Wed 20th of December, 2006 GMTHehe, after my last action (installing a php proxy server on "my" www server) I strongly belife my provider is also blocking "xmlrpc.php". I could ask him, but Koz could ya give it a try ?-)
Thx a lot and regardz
Flying Foragerposted at 20:16:07 - Sat 23rd of December, 2006 GMTI'd like to offer a free blogHUD to visitors
in my land area so that all blogging around
this area goes to a central "land blog"
rather than going to individual blogs for
each user. This way, the blogHUD becomes
a way to document site specific experiences
in one web location. Can it be done?
Caelestaeia Valeevaposted at 22:40:41 - Tue 13th of February, 2007 GMTI've been unable to add/activate/register my Blogger blog at the BlogHUD website. I keep receiving an error message and I've done everything I can think of to try to correct the situation, to no avail. Crossposting to another blog was the big selling point on this product for me. Any help would be most gratefully appreciated. :-)
Koz Farinaposted at 19:58:34 - Wed 14th of February, 2007 GMTIs that a Blogger Beta site? Support for that is on the way. It doesnt work yet,. Old blogger.com versions are fine. Wordpress works best and supports tags, which are coming soon too. ;)
Karl Herberposted at 12:11:50 - Fri 16th of February, 2007 GMTAre there any plans for the Pro version to support posting to Livejournal?
Kevin Jarrettposted at 14:20:40 - Fri 23rd of February, 2007 GMTHello, I need to know if I can get the pro version and ONLY post to my Wordpress blog. In other words, I do NOT want my content appearing on another blog on the bloghud.com domain. Is this possible? Thanks!
Koz Farinaposted at 14:58:40 - Fri 23rd of February, 2007 GMTThis is going to be possible in a future 'enterprise' version. You can try using the 'NOTES' channel which will not show up on bloghud.com. But I ask : Why do you want to hide your posts to the rest of the community? NOTES will crosspost but not show here. The entrerprose version will be more expensive.
Caelestaeia Valeevaposted at 00:38:30 - Mon 5th of March, 2007 GMTYay! BlogHUD will now work with the new Blogger, and that's great! :-) However, I'm still unable to register and activate my blogger blog with the BlogHUD website. I think the problem now is my email address. Is there any way I can change the email address associated with my BlogHUD account? I think that will solve the problem. Any assistance you can provide would be most gratefully appreciated. :-)
Koz Farinaposted at 14:35:12 - Mon 5th of March, 2007 GMTHi, I dont store email addresses. Have you got a PRO version? Have you set your password and are you able to log in to bloghud.com - to set up your blogger account?
Caelestaeia Valeevaposted at 21:55:33 - Mon 5th of March, 2007 GMTI typed a lengthy response to your questions, but decided to try one more time before I actually posted it, and it worked! Thank you for your help and for this great product! :-)
Timothy McCorkellposted at 05:13:32 - Thu 15th of March, 2007 GMT I wanted to try this, but I couldn't find anyway to register. Are they working on the web site or did I overlook something?
Koz Farinaposted at 06:57:28 - Thu 15th of March, 2007 GMTHi Tomithy . Click the big (?) tube for a notecard ;)
Eirene Janusposted at 02:33:33 - Tue 3rd of April, 2007 GMTI have tried repeatedly to set my password and then login, but with absolutely no success. It keeps saying that the blogHUD user does not exist. Is it down?
Koz Farinaposted at 02:41:41 - Tue 3rd of April, 2007 GMTWhen you set your passowrd, did the blogHUD respond? Are you on land which is 'scriptable'? (shown by the small icon of a script at the top)
Eirene Janusposted at 03:27:00 - Tue 3rd of April, 2007 GMTthe blogHUD didn't respond and I can create scripts because I'm on my land.
Koz Farinaposted at 05:52:03 - Tue 3rd of April, 2007 GMTWhen you wear the blogHUD, what happens? Does it say anything to you at all? IM me.
Eirene Janusposted at 15:20:50 - Tue 3rd of April, 2007 GMTHi Koz, sorry, I got all tied up building my house yesterday and then I realized it was WAY late...SL is consuming my LIFE!! When I wear it, it looks transparent, I'm not sure if that is what it should do, and when I click on the different options, it talks to me. When I post a blog, it does nothing. When I click on the 'cross post', it says to go online and login. When I get home tonight, I'm just going to re-buy another one, maybe this one is corrupt. It did an update to version 1.03, so maybe something went wrong during that. I'll know better tonight...wish me luck!
Koz Farinaposted at 16:26:27 - Tue 3rd of April, 2007 GMTNoooo! don't buy another. IM me in-world and let's see what's going on in.
KoriTravantiposted at 22:06:59 - Fri 13th of April, 2007 GMTLooking to find that inworld.. but everytimeI click on the SLURL it tells me I need to upgrade SL. I am up to date. I can't get to your place by doing a search either. I would love to be able to use this.
Kori Travantiposted at 23:28:13 - Sun 15th of April, 2007 GMTOk.. I've been having some fun with the blogHUD... however, its not liking the link up between it and my Blogger page. I am technically challenged its possible, however small, it might be user erorr. Any help would be cool.

Apollonia Corleoneposted at 19:18:21 - Sun 12th of August, 2007 GMTI have bloghud pro, and have done everyting I'm supposed to do to crosspost to my blogger account. But I have never been able to get it to crosspost. On my account page it's right there - says I am crossposting. But I can't make it work. What am I doing wrong? Is there some trick to this other than /9 text... blah blah. and turning crossposting on?
MustangQuimby Messmerposted at 16:59:03 - Thu 8th of November, 2007 GMTHi Koz,
How soon will Blogger Beta accounts be supported?
I just spent a lot of time trying to get the account activated only to see it really isn't working yet :(?
Best, MustangQuimby Messmer
Koz Farinaposted at 17:43:11 - Thu 8th of November, 2007 GMTHI. It is working. I had to just fix the time on the server, as it had strayed and so couldn't authenticate against blogger ;)

I got in, was able to select the blogger Blog I wanted,

there was an error adding this Blogger blog [14842853 MoCoZone Blog http://mocozone.blogspot.com/]
Koz Farinaposted at 18:36:01 - Thu 8th of November, 2007 GMTHi. Is it definitely a migrated blog? I'll try another test ;)
Koz Farinaposted at 18:38:25 - Thu 8th of November, 2007 GMTHI again : also make sure that if it's a newer version, to use the link bleow the submit button on the setup page instead of the 'Blogger' (not beta) radio button. ;)
MustangQuimby Messmerposted at 19:29:08 - Thu 8th of November, 2007 GMTHi Koz,
It is a new one. I also tried another of my blogger blogs that I only made this summer (when Blogger Beta was the only choice) and I got this error...
mysqli_fetch_array() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, integer given in /home/sites/bloghud/config/DBFunc.php on line 103
Please choose one of your Blogger Blogs to post to...
Thanks for your help.
MustangQuimby Messmerposted at 22:04:40 - Tue 13th of November, 2007 GMTThanks, Koz,
It's fixed and I can now cross-post. Cheers!
Laurent Bechirposted at 08:34:48 - Fri 30th of November, 2007 GMTHow to sent a snapshot from inside sl ? Thank you
Koz Farinaposted at 11:25:20 - Fri 30th of November, 2007 GMTAs long as you are a PRO member, you can send postcards to pix@bloghud.com and they will arrive here, as well as any blog or flickr account you may have set up with us ;)
Cinead Allenposted at 16:07:26 - Sun 2nd of December, 2007 GMTHi Koz. I see the most recent post is related to setting up cross posting to Blogger. I'm having trouble too, but my symptoms are a little different. It is a new Blogger blog and I'm using the link that takes you to the Google credentials page. Everything seems to work fine up until the page that says to select the blog to post to (I have only one). After clicking the button, I get an error with some text that reads "error : the token was not exchanged successfully". I checked my Google account and it shows blogHud as an authorized site, so it looks like part of the transaction worked. I also noticed that after getting the error, it seems like my blogHud cookie may be messed up. I'm no longer logged in and have to close my browser and start over. Any ideas? Thanks.
Koz Farinaposted at 16:22:39 - Sun 2nd of December, 2007 GMThu. i'll check this out. I think I know what it is. Look for a test post from me to my blogger blog in a mo. thx :)
Cinead Allenposted at 20:35:31 - Sun 2nd of December, 2007 GMTOK, thanks. Still getting the same error when I attempt to tie my blugHud account to my Blogger blog. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see when you figure it out. I was noting your test posts on your Blogger blog. Seems like if you're already configured it works OK, but of course I can't get that far. I wonder if Google changed the handshaking recently for site authorization?
Koz Farinaposted at 08:37:45 - Mon 3rd of December, 2007 GMThi. hmm.. it *should* be ok. I will check with another of my accounts later. thanks for your patience. :)
Cinead Allenposted at 22:50:44 - Mon 3rd of December, 2007 GMTHey Koz. Looks like you got it. I was able to get my blog configured and posting from SL is working. Thanks very much for your help.
Melynn Dreamscapeposted at 20:05:39 - Wed 19th of December, 2007 GMTI'm unable to set up my external blog. The options to do so are blocked on my profile screen. I tried the free version first, then bought the PRO version last night.
Melynn Dreamscapeposted at 18:12:13 - Thu 20th of December, 2007 GMTI reset my password, then logged back into bloghud.com. That seemed to fix my problem. I'm hudslinging now.

Talaith Llewellynposted at 02:07:05 - Fri 21st of December, 2007 GMTHELP! I bought the PRO version and tried to set my password from in-world. I followed the instructions exactly but I'm still an unrecognized blogHUD user!
Talaith Llewellynposted at 17:36:38 - Fri 21st of December, 2007 GMTWell, I was able to set the password, but I couldn't get any of my blogs activated.
Sofian Mannonenposted at 12:31:34 - Mon 11th of February, 2008 GMTI followed the instructions related to my version pro and it is still not working after several attempts.
The notecard does not give the correct guidelines and must be improved.
I understand it is difficult to meet all customers needs, but when you pay for a service or a tool it must work, otherwise it must remain free and nobody has to complain in case of malfunction.
Koz Farinaposted at 12:36:04 - Mon 11th of February, 2008 GMTSorry you're having problems. But I have checked your details and they're all good. You are not reading the notecard properly (ok, it could be better) Hundred of other users have been able to do this fine. nothing has changed.
Remember: YOU MUST LOG OUT of bloghud.com - wear your new Pro bloghud and reset your password. Then the NEXT time you log in to bloghud.com you should see the 'amange my external blogs' link. From there, you need to follw the instructions.
