MRO on the future of music

Some local pals got MRO's views tonight as part of a future salon called "Future of Music" So, I discussed small groups, online collaboration, and the "sleeping cat phenomenon" . I'll upload the presentation as soon as i get it to work completely. Got some great feedback but I'm still trying to work out how to explain the "digital landscape" to the person who doesn't use SL or other multiuser world. How can I put this? Which do you prefer.... "Join or die" or "Resistance is futile" ? Which one is more user fiendly?
