Playing music *in* SL...?

I know there's no shortage of live music streamed into SL, but working my AmbientSteamBoxThing, I got to wondering... ASBT has a bunch of buttons that anyone can press that will, in addition to causing vast amounts of steam spewing forth, trigger various sound samples. I got to thinking it would be interesting to have a few such boxes and a few different individuals to see what could happen. Many half-baked ideas materialized at that point, but I couldn't help but wonder if there were groups of ppl in SL who 'jam' using SL instruments? What better way is there to sound like drunken Throbbing Gristle at their worst than impro on SL instruments? Anyone record music made in SL yet?
