SecondTalk for Skype

At the Mr. O Show, we talk about virtual worlds integrating between each other. Mr O brings up a new product called SecondTalk ( http://www.secondtalk.com/ ) and I teleport over to a sim to check it out. SecondTalk senses who else is nearby wearing the object and prompts you with a dialog box to start talking with them over skype. I introduce a similar product I've worked on called the skype status indicator. My version simply lets you know the persons skype id and there online status. I also have a yahoo status indicator too.

Hmmm. Inspection of the mailbox show multiple duplicate posts to the mailbox, as opposed to my system processing more than once. odd. and even more oddly, this post of yours has arrived SEVENTEEN TIMES!!!! What the hell is going on ??

Been deleting them a lot last night from here and my blog. Havn't looked at flickr yet. Seems it was happening with the most recent post from everyone. didn't delete the mail once it was processed?

It checks for new postcard mail and only processes unread mail. But looking in the mailbox, it shows more than one postcard was actually sent IN. So the problem must be in the sending, not the processing. Very odd. The system cant 'read' the same post twice. SL issue I think. A mailserver problem at their end I *think*.

seems to be OK now though. So it must have been a secondlife sendmail problem. Still: odd that snapzilla didnt suffer. I'll keep an eye on it.

Very odd. I always send my postcards to pics@bloghud.com;pics@slpics.com;pics@slbuzz.com;me@slprofiles.com so snapzilla was on that list too. The thing I noticed though was that your site kept reposting my snapshot until someone else uploaded one. And then it kept posting theres many times too until the next ... Perhaps something was caught up between SL and your mail server.

I still have no idea why or how this could happen with the system being sent it more than once. However!!!!.. Hmm. as I typed that I realise that the pix@bloghud.com and pics@bloghud.com are actually forwarded to a 'special' mailbox, which my scripts read. It's very possible then that that could be the sytem at fault. The more I think baout it actually, I bet that's it.
