I was actually thinking the other day that you don't often see people smoking in Second Life. I know, I know, none of the supposed pleasures associated with smoking are really experienced in SL but there is a behavioral and social aspect to it. I've seen plenty of avatars drinking a variety of things despite the fact that your actual experience varies differently. I guess the question is, why drink or smoke in world?

Is a good question. I occasionally, avatar that is, do smoke inworld. But have been asked on more than one occasion to stop as the attached gesture is fairly distracting while sitting as the gesture has the avi get up to puff. Constant stand up sit down..stand up - sit down... geez, durn thing is no mod so I can't fix it either. just my 2¢­
