Well, as you can now see, I finally bit the bullet and tore apart the wacky postcards that can be sent from Second Life. This is a first try at doing this, so apologies if things go a bit wonky.
This feature is currently only available to registered blogHUD PRO users.
To send an image based post like this, simply take a snapshot, select 'Send a postcard' from the options and click send. In the form that appears, please edit the default text with your blog post title in the subject field and your main text in the message bit. Please do this, as we really don't want to see lots of 'Postcard from..' and 'Check this out' posts do we? That would be boring, eh? :)
Then send it to pix@bloghud.com :)
It will take a few minutes for the systems which send these emails to send and process them, but just as soon as your post hits the front page, you will get an IM telling you of its arrival.
Many of you have cried out for way to add images to your blogHUD posts. I had racked my brain thinking how to do it via snapzilla, but couldn't devise a simple solution. So I gave this a try. One day I'll tell you about the cunning stunt I pull in order to do this :)
So, please use these images for blog posts, if you can. It would be so much more interesting. If you want to go snap happy and take loads of pictures of SL for your collection, then really, snapzilla is way more suited to that. :) This is not an attempt at competition btw. I just wanted to give blogHUD users what they want.
So, there you have it. Enjoy! :)
I will soon be adding an option in your profile settings to say 'yes, please crosspost any image posts I make to my external blog' - then you'll have glorious technicolor on your blogs too! Hurrah!!!
Happy HUDslinging!!
Cheers!
Koz
ps: The email message text is not this long, so I had to log in to bloghud.com to edit the post and add this text. :)
pps: All image posts currently go to the main BLOG category - I will think about what to do here soon. :) at: Nooribeom (177, 193, 23)

BTW, who made that animated Second Life banner to the right I'm seeing? The one that has "Combat Zones" scrolling down the left? I don't recognize it.

Nice work, genius!
Koz Farina posted at 19:14:36 - Fri 10th of November, 2006 GMT Hi Torley! I think the animated banners came from the Fansite Toolkit - but possibly not as they dont appear to be there any more? Hmm.. I got them from secondlife.com I know that much. Crossposting images will come later - or over the weekend.
