Gadgets, HUDs, whatnot, I'm in love with them!

Among the more recent things I've checked out are bijoRewind, SLQuery (Info Library HUD), Forced Prophecies, and the latest being the PixelTrix Calendar.

The calendar is pretty cool, although I admit I feared it wouldn't really meet any of my expections. The notecard config for adding events, reminders, etc is a little weird at first, but I think once I get rolling, no problem. The calendar can rez a message board for easy displaying of the days events, which is very nice.

All these fun toys prompted me to work on something I've been dying for, a RSS headline reader HUD/attachment. I find that I spend a fair amount of time tabbing over to Firefox and making my way through tabs to check for new blog posts. I have RRS readers, but they are something you really can take along with you while exploring or at an event. This reads a notecard of feeds and you can check any or all of the last 3 post titles and they are reported back to the owner. Quick, easy and most important, portable! I figure someone like Koz is going to make a really sweet RRS reader, this is just to save all the unnecessary alt-tabbing. No new posts, no need to head to Firefox. If anyone is interested, I'll probably make it available sometime next week.
